Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions for the One Direction band. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive schools, created a band named White Eskimo along with three other students. The band won in 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. He always had an interest in music but also wanted to work as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. In the past, he was employed for a short time in a bakeshop within his town and hoped to assist economically at home. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, and performed Is not She Lovely, the Stevie Wonder song. He was chosen. The group were forced to split. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles join a band called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they founded in the year 2010. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which helped them become one of the leading contenders to win the contest. The group was placed in third position after Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle, who won. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell didn't take home the prize. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
